Nobody saves anymore. Consumption at record highs.
Probably just cheaper to set fire to your house.
With an average consumption of 2000kWh a year, this means the day would cost me appr 6€ if my consumption is stationary 😄
2000kWh a year, meaning 5,5kWh a day and an average price of 110snt/kWh.
Would not use sauna tomorrow though
Im rich enough, I can take that.
Ilmanvaihtokone gets shut down temporarily, or put the heat into something less. Also no shower until midnight (as heating water takes electricity)
It’s the continuous -20ish temperature should be lasting for at least a week still I think
How can I check mine?
I don’t get it why people on spot prices have not changed to fixed price on winter times.
Ffs, going to cost 200€ to heat my apartment for tomorrow.
Fuck this lmao.
even though this is exceptional thought that watching spot prices doesn’t make sense in the winter anyway so took a 11c/kwh/6mo contract in november
Just made 2 year contract for 9,4c/kWh. Previous 2 years 6c/kWh.
What IS this app?
I’ve been wondering what actually causes these changes in prices?
The spot price gets updated at 15:00 the day before, but is there any way to find out about future trends? Like, knowing if they are going to be shutting down some big power plant for maintenance in advance, if Norway makes a big mistake again, type of thing?
I can’t deal with this shit any more. Fixed prices have been awful since I came off my contract, and prices have been swinging insanely, like 1c/kWh one week, now 240c/kWh?!?!? I need to be able to plan my life around these prices. Like tomorrow is definitely not going to be a wfh day!
Lux Helsinki is starting to look like a tempting walk on Friday!
Nauran ja poltan lunta takassa.
Do not panic yet, check your personal contact. Most people have fixed price per kWh, so spikes you see right now may not affect your household.
I got lucky as I’m on a trip right now. Otherwise it would be a bit painful. I have district heating so I don’t use that much electricity in any event.
Perhaps I should inquire about it again. Last time I’ve asked was 3months ago
