  2. The bones are both from cattle. Animal bones belonging to sheep, cows & pigs are very common in the Thames because in the Victorian times and before many slaughterhouses used to line the river front and a lot of animal bones were thrown into the river, which was used as a dump back then. In some parts of the Thames great quantities of these bones wash up but this is mostly down to the strength of currents (rather than where the old slaughterhouses actually were).

  3. No banana for scale, therefore it’s impossible to tell due to size.

  4. Boyfriend said cattle. He is a palaeontologist, so I am inclined to believe him.
