People think this is a good thing and the US is being moral, but they’re really not. The US trades with many other countries that have harsh laws against homosexuality. Like Saudi Arabia for example. But those countries have way too much money. Only if a country is weak and doesn’t have much money are countries that the US will try to influence for the better.

I have my issues with Biden but at least he’s firm on some things. Like calling dictators what they are. Where as trump would have bent over and praised them for how great they are. And saluted foreign soldiers who attack their own citizens of course.

Biden is setting the bar so low and Uganda can’t even clear it. Many of the [countries included](https://ustr.gov/sites/default/files/2024%20List%20of%20AGOA%20Eligible%20and%20Ineligible%20Countries%2011162023.pdf) have criminalized homosexuality and some include sentences of [over 10 years in prison or even life in prison](https://www.humandignitytrust.org/lgbt-the-law/map-of-criminalisation/). For Uganda to be kicked out over this they literally had to execute gay people.
