This guy is 18. Playing his first 15 minutes. In a whole new league. In a whole new country where he doesn’t speak the language. In a whole new continent with a immense amount of pressure on him to perform immediately.
Lewy is a veteran. He’s had his worse return in a season for 10 years. He needs to be criticized since he’s supposed to be leading the team and not just throwing his hands up in the air when he doesnt get every single pass. He’s been declining for a while and doesnt show signs of improvement. He’s had a glistening career and therefore the expectation is on him to perform. So theyre in COMPLETELY DIFFERENT situations.
Do not put pressure on this kid to be our savior. He wont be. We wont suddenly be the best team in the league because hes here. We have WAAAAAYYY too many problems besides the front line and finishing. Give him the time to develop as a player (for the love of god hes 18 years old) and dont immediately rush to criticism if he misses.

He has gone from being the sole protagonist of his Brazilian club to playing with some of the highest rated athletes in the world, so I think it’s natural that he will feel the pressure. Hope he is able to overcome it and be the best player he can be
