Managed to post yesterday’s temperatures instead of today’s so I’m trying again. Thanks to those pointing out my silly mistake. Seems more in line with today’s temperatures like some pointed out was inaccurate on the other post.
I just want to point out that local variations can be quite large. My homie measured -42 C at Esrange, and also the propane didn’t boil so I guess the thermometer was accurate.

Everyone’s getting pretty tired of this cold now. Water pipes freezing, electrical lines and connections breaking, cars not starting or frozen so solid you cant get into them, having to keep fire going constantly, sky high energy consumption = sky high energy bills.
I just want this shit to end now, I’d rather have 0 degress rain and slush.
I went on a long walk near Helsinki on Kivinokka. Eyelashes frozen, took a few minutes for them to thaw on the metro.

Also, maybe EU should create some propoganda videos, how russia is going to freeze this winter. You know, the same one like they did about us last year.

I am in Stockholm so not that cold. But they have been talking about the cold for weeks. So to be prepared I took out all my real winter clothes (not the ones for -5 or so, the more heavy stuff). And put it on despite it being more like – 10. As a result I got far to warm while walking the dog. Stupid. New strategy for tomorrow which is called “trust your own senses instead of news”.
So it’s the middle of winter and whole Europe below Dania has 10ish degrees and no snow anywhere.
Were supposed to have snow, dammit. F*ck the oil industry.
In norway like 50 km difference changes things so severely, it says average here is -3, i woke up to -27 today.
Its way to warm here. Guys up north, you okay?

AHHH I FUCKING HATE -34°C IT IS TOO MUCH
they said it would be -15 but it got only to -7. very disappointing.
Checked the thermometer and it got to -37 C and that’s about where it stopped falling. Getting outside isn’t even too bad as the air is bone dry and no windchill. Cat tried to go out but noped back inside in 5 secs.
Yeah 15° but 80% humidity, not that fun.
Yeah its pretty warm today for winter just -15.
What’s going on at the edges of that coldfront? Some places drop 30 °C in just 50 km

Why isn’t there a gradual geographic change between very cold and temperate? The line between below zero double digits and above zero seems quite thin

Honestly I’d take ridiculous cold over the 4 months of continual rain we’ve had in the UK. Half the bloody country is flooded by now
