  1. Depending on your region this is either the lunchtime meal or the evening meal so either sometime between 12-2pm OR 5-7pm. He’s said approx so you can probably add an hour give or take (probably take) to both of those estimates, he’s then given you the “ish” of doom which means he won’t be showing up at all.

  2. With dinner being the evening meal… between 6:30-7:00pm.

  3. If it’s from an electrician, I’d probably write off him coming on that day at all.

  4. If they’re from northern England dinner tends to be around 12-2pm, anywhere else it’s probably about 5-7pm.

  5. You best fucking tell us when he arrives and how much sugar he had in that tea you made him. How much that part will be and when he will be back to do it. Aggression needed because the part is a screwdriver 🪛

  6. Could have been worse. In Cornwall they would say “be there drectly”. That could mean a couple of minutes, a couple of days or even a couple of weeks.

  7. INFO: where do you live? The answer is region specific

  8. A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.

  9. Leave a note in your will.

“And to my nephew, I leave the electricians appointment.”
