Getting reelected would be nice. But the administration also needs to guard against the damage a second Trump administration could do to the environment.
He should drop out of the race and let someone with a functional brain run for president
Article should say “mitigate climate damage” there is no “saving” what once was anymore. That said, yes we need to take drastic action
Idk, I have a hard time believing there is a way to “save the climate” at this point. Atmospheric carbon isn’t just going to go away even if we shut off every point of emission on the planet. Don’t even get started on the cascading effect it will have on methane. The forests are going to burn for at least 20 more years in that scenario. The oceans will acidify. We’re going to lose so many species. We all know the planet isn’t going to stop pumping that carbon from below to above and definitely not on a timeline that can save us or the climate. I’m really looking forward to not working though 🙂
