  1. It’s a bit more than “unprofessional”. Unprofessional is burping loudly during an important meeting and not saying excuse me. This is egregiously unethical.

  2. I love that it make Kavanaugh’s vote LESS likely.

    Such poor lawyering.

  3. Should tell you something when the lawyer is confident on the outcome of the case because of corruption and not the strength of the case.

  4. I’m not saying she’s boinking him…but she’s totally boinking him.

  5. Nice Supreme Court you have there. Be a shame if something were to happen to it.

  6. Seems like the same strategy as pre-leaking the Dobbs decision: set public expectations so strongly ahead of time that any other outcome risks riots and killings by the MAGA faithful.

  7. All judgements on Kavanaugh’s ethics or fitness to be a Supreme Court Justice aside..

… I love that Trump thinks that he’s the only person that can be selfish. He wouldn’t do what he wants Kavanaugh to do because there’s no fucking *win* in backing Trump for Kavanaugh lol. Trump just lives in this world where everyone owes him something, he owes no one anything, and anything that happens that isn’t a logical conclusion of one of two universal (to him) truths is just unfucking fathomable lol. He thinks it’s the secret to life that he’s been getting away with, but really others have been getting things from him too; things he’s just too stupid to see.

He’s ran his race and is all shriveled up; no usefulness left to glean from him and methinks it’s going to hurt really bad when he’s left out to dry.

  8. >> Trump attorney Alina Habba on Thursday suggested that Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh would “step up” and rule in favor of the former president because he “fought for” him.

Holy shit. Just… wow. That should be disbarment

Edit: Holy shit it gets worse

    >> “That’s a concern that he’s voiced to me, he’s voiced to everybody publicly, not privately. And I can tell you that his concern is a valid one,” she said. “They’re trying so hard to look neutral that sometimes they make the wrong call.”

THE SUPREME COURT IS SUPPOSED TO BE NEUTRAL YOU DUNCE

  9. > “She’s saying the quiet part out loud,” replied panelist Jon Avlon. “She’s saying that Brett Kavanaugh will step up and side with the president because he appointed him. That goes against every basic idea of law and independence of the judiciary. And frankly, it puts Kavanaugh in a bit of a box.”

  10. I don’t understand. They gave him a case of his favorite beer. Gosh you guys. 🤷‍♂️

  11. Even the lawyers are now in on the Stochastic terrorism:

“Hey, Trump voters! Kavanaugh owes Trump. What are you gonna do about it if he betrays him?…Kavanaugh, did you get the message? wink wink”.

  12. She was clearly following orders and getting Trump’s warning to Judge Boofy, but the problem is they’re both fucking morons and think it’s a subtle, genius move.

  13. *”I’d rather be pretty than smart. You can fake being smart.”*

    Alina Habba

  14. It’s not like Brett needs to run for re-election. He owes Trump bupkis moving forward.

  15. This is not anything new. Trump has been saying this more-or-less continually, trying to get things in front of SCOTUS because he believe his appointees “owe” him and will rule in his favor. Thats why the filings on his behalf are so lame – the intent is not to have a valid legal argument, but just to be an excuse for the court to rule in his favor with a rubber stamp.

He and his tribe truely believe that the court justices work for them.

You’d think that Roberts would stand up for the court more, but nope.

  16. Her days are numbered, career will be over, disbarred, and will never get paid from Trump.

  17. These mother fuckers have no shame! She’s signaling to a Supreme Court Justice on how he should rule.

  18. Since 2016 the GOP has increasingly decided it’s okay to say the quiet part out loud. Why? They’ve discovered their diehard, rabid base doesn’t care. To them the ends justifies the means regardless who or what gets trampled.

My dad’s almost 90 years old. He’s been a member of the GOP forever. When I asked him why the GOP thinks it was okay to have fake electors he said they were trying to win. He didn’t want to acknowledge how the GOP would react if the Dems tried the same game.

The lack of apathy is a feature with the GOP and their leadership knows it.

  19. What she is signaling to Kavanaugh is that they have leverage. This is how Russia and the mob works, and it is why he was selected. They know his past and they can threaten to leak it when they need him to vote a certain way.

  20. What a pair of clown shoes. Not only the Lawyer but the experts as well. Unprofessional? That statement that she made was on the line of “We have the judge in our pocket.” Totally unethical.

  21. I look at Trumps lawyers and think that law school must be easier than I assumed

  22. This sounds like messaging for Brett’s ears. Trump had her say it as a reminder.

  23. I mean we all knew this would happen anyway. Noone believes this utterly corrupt court will somehow do the right thing.

  24. No fan of Kavanaugh but imagine the position he’s in….either he rules against and gets to deal with death threats against him and his family, or he shows that he’s a political hack he’s always been. Couldn’t happen to a bigger piece of shit and I’m here for it!

  25. The three Trump appointees plus Thomas should recuse. Of course they won’t, but the should.

  26. Wake me up when the Washington Post and the New York Times say the same thing without twenty asterisks after it explaining why it’s bad for the Democrats.

  27. Strangely they made it “less” likely that Kavanaugh will rule in their favour given this commentary.

  28. Openly soliciting a decision in your favor in exchange for the position they received.

I have another description for it: “disbarment”. Do not pass go and get sent straight to prison.

  29. These comments can be interpreted as veiled threats to the supreme court, but its ok to do that in America because there are no consequences under the banner of free speech.

  30. Kavanaugh is above the law just as much as Thomas and Alito are. He could show the video of him accepting the payoff of his gambling debts in exchange for corrupt rulings, and No AG would ever act on it.

  31. She’s gonna need a lawyer and the DOJ should open an investigation if they didn’t already at 9am.

  32. If Kavanaugh gives two fucks for his reputation he’ll vote to bar Trump.

If it’s 9-0 to bar, add insult to injury and have Kavanaugh write the opinion.
