They wanted to freeze Europe. Moscow’s residents are freezing in their homes. Utility workers were not prepared for frosts of minus 30

  1. What heating system does Moscow have? Geothermal district heating would probably be the best choice, but then again this is Russia.

  2. And at the same time I had to turn off my heating and air out the house regularly because it’s too warm …

  3. And do we prepare here in Germany or in Spain in case of -30 ?

  4. Weird source and a misleading title. A few dozen houses in the Moscow region were left without heating due to isolated incidents, that’s basically it.

  5. While likely so, not the most trustworthy news source at this point of time. But still, let’s hope the cold continues.

    Greetings from Finland, -35’C.

  6. Not prepared. Lol, it’s such a surprise that it’s cold in Russia in winter. Who could’ve thought?

  7. Russia not prepared to have minus degrees in winter? That sounds somewhat …odd.

  8. Well, I didn’t know I am freezing in my home, but I guess “[ua-stena.info](https://ua-stena.info)” wouldn’t lie about what’s happening in Russia…

  9. The cite doesn’t even look legit🤮 but fuck russian government anyways

  10. Moscow. -25 outside and + 27 inside. Have to open a windows for a bit, because its hot

About what freezing they are talking about?

  11. Hehehe
    Ukraine, Odesa.
    +11 today

Russia promised Ukraine would freeze without their gas…

  12. And Europe wanted to drive Russia into the ground with the economy and the sanctions and where are we? I don’t understand why people(we) act like we have the upper hand when it’s obvious that many things that were promised to us haven’t come true or aren’t true.

Yes, I understand that Russia and co are a huge propaganda machines and that they fabricate a lot lies and shit. But what surprises me is that Europe hasn’t been or isn’t any better in the last two years. Instead of being the sensible big brother who settles the dispute between two parties, we have been drawn to one side through propaganda. Anyone who denies this is simply far from reality. Can it really be that hard to try to find a diplomatic way out of this mess?

  13. Heat is so cheap that I just open the windows when it’s getting too hot

  14. At least their toilets are not freezing up.

Edit: To whoever downvotes this, this was a joke about Russians having to steal toilets from Ukraine.

  15. Russians will need to endure this before they realise how terrible Putin is.

  16. Oh that reminds me to turn off the heating fir the night since it’s 11pm here. Having 23 degrees all day sure is nice while it’s cold outside.

  17. False news. My brother traveled to china thru Russia. Was visiting a client in Moscow at his home. They all have very efficient and cheap heating there. Was watching several live streams where Russian citizens leave their gas stoves on and their windows open, just for the hack of it.

  18. Not that the source looks objective or reasonable, but it’s isolated to a bunch of houses in the outskirts of the Moscow region, according to the article. Doesn’t look like it’s happening en masse

  19. It’s quite wild watching recent interviews of them still going on about how Europe will starve and freeze to death and chuckle.

  20. Karma is a bitch, guess that “Europe” advert really was a Russia advert, I wonder if they gon eat their pets next winter.

  21. lulz, the source for this “news” is from The Ukraine, lulz

  22. I was going to ask “How the hell are utility workers not prepared for -30C weather…in winter…in a city a few thousand km away from the North Pole”. Then i remembered I’m in Canada, and we get this shit every winter too, with various degrees of severity. I remember freezing my ass off with no power for maybe 4-5 days. Still had gas though, it was a separate line, so I kept the fish in my aquarium alive by gas-heating water and continuously changing it, 24/7.

  23. Yes the Ukrainian wanted us freezed bombing the pipeline, but was the point with the russian ?
