The order states that orphans and children left without parental care who are citizens of Ukraine may be granted Russian citizenship by Putin’s personal decision without regard to federal law.

According to him, the next step after obtaining “citizenship” will be the adoption of children as Russians, and then the change of personal data of children.
The Ombudsman said he would take the necessary measures to respond both domestically and internationally.

How do so many children even get taken by an invading force? Were they in orphanages or forcibly taken from parents? I know the war was started suddenly but trying to understand why those families didn’t flee before invading forces entered? Absolutely insane. Hopefully those children some day rise up and start an insurgency within. Seems crazy to me.
