Today’s “Ireland Thinks” poll gone a bit haywire.

  1. Sure it doesn’t really matter when the farm takes up most of the day anyway

  2. It’s common for surveys to have one or more “are you paying attention?” questions to ensure that data from people who are mindlessly filling it out without reading can be excluded.

In a similar vein, a survey may ask a question at the start (e.g. marital status or number of children) then another later on which indirectly asks the same thing (e.g. spouse’s occupation or number of children broken down into various age categories) to try to exclude data from people who are filling it out with false information. Some paid/rewarded surveys even compare answers across multiple surveys.

  3. I took a screenshot of it too to probably post at some point.

I assume they just put up the wrong answers.

I’ve course I answered only during the day.
