  1. Tomorrow: Superbug resistant to experimental antibiotics, opens whole new class of superbugs.

  2. I had a biochemist friend years ago who would roll his eyes until he saw his cerebellum when he read these articles. They were ALWAYS wrong, premature, or misleading. I believe it, since his explanations as to why always made sense. I’ve never forgotten that.

  3. Stuff like this is total clickbait. We have hundreds of antibiotics that kill all the superbugs, the thing is they are very toxic to humans. Even the strong stuff we use right now are pretty much guaranteed to nuke your kidneys, hearing and liver.

Show me an antibiotic that’s safe to take and then I’ll be impressed.

  4. Gotta love the ending: it’s in clinical trials even though it’s practically useless against anything else, and it only renders the one superbug helpless for so long, and some of them are already gaining immunity…

Great job Ars. Slow clap. /s

  5. Now we just have to wait 7 years, while it goes thru approvals!

  6. there has been thousands of antibiotics that will kill the current superbugs, but the problem is they will kill the human host first

  7. Just like in dragon ball. Antibiotic & superbug keep evolving in saiyan level.

  8. Of course only the top 1% will be able to afford it

  9. They are going to get abused and we are going to get new superbugs.

  10. Maybe don’t feed it to livestock this time – thanks.
