UN person calls for Israel to stop fighting without providing any form of viable solution. Another nickel in the jar!
Border towns in Israel became uninhabitable as well. Apparently you might wake up one morning and have your entire family slaughtered for no reason. Not to mention the tens of thousands of rockets.
Not only the UN doesn’t have much to say about that, they are also a big part of the problem which caused this. With them being practically Hamas’s “[Education](https://vimeo.com/856467890)” department in Gaza and the WB. Financed by some 1.6BN$ a year coming from western countries who did not know better.
I believe Gaza is not much different from Mousul and Raqqa after ISIS.
Release the hostages, nothing stops until then.
And whose fault is that? (If it’s true, and I have my doubts.)

Off-topic but does anyone else get annoyed when the news simplifies titles to “so and so chief”?
Like his actual title is Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator. At the very least refer to him as an Undersecretary General. I know there is very little room in a headline to use such long titles, but they don’t even mention his title in the article. Like wtf?
It’s demeaning to the people who have worked hard to earn those titles. And it’s demeaning to the readers, as it assumes that we won’t understand these titles. We aren’t idiots.
The west just needs to accept that the Middle East is an inherently violent place and that these people are never going to get along. Let’s just leave them to it and not get involved. It’s a hellscape that can’t be fixed.
What does it take to get a job at the UN.

Stop penalizing Israel for caring about its citizens – by Hamas own admission they don’t wanna build rocket countermeasures to maximize the effect for their campaign.
Maybe Hamas and PIJ and the smaller jihadi groups should surrender unconditionally then.

The Gazans are free to lay down their arms and surrender this war they started at any time.

Yes…I’d be tearing up and grabbing for my wallet if not for one thing: all of this is the UN’s own doing over the past 17 years. This mr. Griffiths himself has left a trail of devastation everywhere he served like the Balkans, Yemen and Syria, never improving the situation any. Last we heard of him he was cozying up to Iran’s FM and calling for a special tribunal for Gaza.
I’ve spent more than enough time over the past 40+ years listening to slick, fat, corrupt to the bones UN representatives. No more!
