  1. I always regret that I only properly got into Bowie’s music after he passed.

Would have loved to have been to one of his last shows.

Look up there man, he’s in heaven.

  2. I was there. Hands down the best gig I’ve been to. Just bloody ridiculous how good it was, the bassist singing Freddie mercurys part was so damn cool.

  3. There’s a great podcast with Adam Buxton where he interviews an Irish bowie fan who set up some Bowie fan-site in the early days of the internet and ended up conversing with the man himself. Thought it was some chancer until he heard Bowie’s interview with the BBC where he started coming out with the same ideas that he had e-mailed yer man with.

Bowie ended up getting him a ticket to this gig iirc.

  4. Comfortably my favourite artist of all-time. Was too young to go to this gig, but got into him big time around 2009 or so when I was doing the leaving. I remember how excited I was when he came out of ‘retirement’ in 2013 and was blown away by Blackstar/hoping we’d get one more tour. His passing was one of the few celebrity deaths that really hit me.
