Many pro-Russian users have recently begun paying attention to the posts about sanctions. They talk about the insignificant impact of sanctions on Russia and their harmfulness to European countries. Does anyone know the reason why pro-Russian users act that way?

  1. If they are so insignificant why do they always want them removed lmao

  2. Because Pro-Russian sources are telling them their problems are because of the sanctions like inflation and such

  3. Recently? They’ve been doing that since day 1.

  4. Because to be pro Russian, is to allow Putin to think for you

  5. Pro-war users are either russian shills or drink russian kool aid in large quantities and just parrot such rhetoric. Given that Europe is glad to pay the price and russia calls sanctions insignificant, there is no point in removing them. So just ignore the trolls.

  6. Because of propaganda. Similar to Hitler’s Germany. The public sphere is heavily controlled and they are just parroting what the strictly censored news media are telling them.

  7. I have a ru neighbour that also says “we have a nice life at russia”, “nothing is missing… plenty of food, good jobs, expensive and high quality clothes available etc. This is part of the oficial narrative to propagate on the West a sense that sanctions do not work.

  8. As we have learnt they always mean the opposite so obviously sanctions are now killing them!

  9. No it is about spreading fake news what will become more believable. There are a lot of people who are using alternative news sites.

Few of my friends are influenced this way. And the only argument I always use is: can a neighbour enter your house and break everything, rape your wife, abduct your children and torture you because of your misbehaviour? This always works. But after I’m gone, they forget this common sense. And start reading fake news. So. Yes it is a problem.

  10. They do what they are told to do and what they are paid for.

  11. It’s what happens when the educational system comes up with stupid bullshit to spread instead of actual facts.

  12. Im Dutch and i think per capita wise were among the top contributors, supporting Ukraine is a very very very VERY minor inconvenience at best.

Building a metro line in Amsterdam ill probably never use in my life cost 5 billion, spending 2 billion on Ukraine in 2024 is no sweat.

  13. There is a line though that the west should further tighten the sanctions against Russia. As for instance they are still getting via 3rd parties, electronic components for their missiles. That could be clamped down on further.

  14. Are they not going make those vids where they pretend supporting Ukraine causes some kind of cold hunger winter in Europe anymore? Thar family huddled up being miserable, so hilarious. Enjoy buying 1 egg per trip to the supermarket bozos, we’re chilling.

  15. They want to influence the public in the Western European counties. And that’s not a stupid idea: in Germany are 3 major elections this year and pro-Russian far-right parties get traction… 🙁

  16. Because the sanctions are having a significant effect on Russia and are not harmful to European countries.

  17. It’s usually made on demand. Ruzzia is a sweet example of doing one thing and saying something opposite. if they say sanctions are insignificant, they are and they bite. If they say sanctions harm the west it means they are unbearable and kill ruzzian industry and economy. If they say everything is fine with economy it means it is choking with cloths of dried blood, begging for mercy. Ruzzian propaganda for example made battle of Progorivka during WW2 significant victory over german forces and they raised statues and taught children to remember it. In fact it was ruzzian failure and massacre ofntheir armor and troops. But they still think talking is more important than facts and you can lie untill everyone believe it is true, cuz everyone seems to say what they want others to believe. Fortunately data shows there is no reason to believe what they say with different mouth they pay to speak or “useful idiots” repeating. Sanctions weakened ruzzia really hard. Poo-thin propaganists repeat they will march to lisbon to support the claim they can’t be defeated with western tech or sanctions. But facts are they struggle hard to exist as a country with army able to perform military operations on a scale of a village…

  18. We also just don’t want to have any business with them

  19. Even if they are not effective I don’t want anything to do with that death cult.

  20. I agree that the sanctions have holes and need to be better enforced.

  21. because oil, sanction on oil is complete joke and they are right about it

  22. I constantly read comments about how Europeans are starving and shit lmaoo

  23. because the sanctions are beginning to work

there is chicken meat deficit and the egg prices have jumped too

  24. Russian Botfarms. The lights are still on in the Internet Research Agency in Sankt Petersburg.

  25. They are probably being paid to do so. No matter what, whatever ruzzians are saying, the opposite is true. More sanctions, and stricter persecution is needed!

  26. I mean whats really changed for the average Russian? More expensive eggs? Well, in Washington, eggs are still freaking expensive and a loaf of bread is $5.50. I have a feeling the cost of living, adjusted for being Russia, is still cheaper than parts of the USA.

  27. Sanctions were framed early on by the Russian government as meant to make people suffer. When people didn’t suffer after a few weeks of sanctions, Russian people said they were pointless and ineffective.
