Normalisation of relations is a slow but important process. It’s important to realize that normalisation (the things in the meme) does not equal recognition. Recognition effectively means giving up your legal claims, and this will be a hard sell for the Serbian public, even if they realize they will never get back de facto control.
All achieved by lies, threats and coercion by majority of the EU and the US. Against the will of the people and the government of Serbia. In return, autonomy for Serbs that are left in Kosovo should have been provided, but for 11 years it has been just a dead piece of paper. Signatures and promises mean nothing these days, it seems.
Only thing that matters is which side you are on. Then, everything is ok. Sad.
It’s disheartening to witness the shifts in Serbia’s historical trajectory. Once renowned for its honor, recent events have cast a shadow, leaving many, including myself, feeling saddened by the current state. It’s my hope that Serbia can overcome these challenges and rebuild its reputation, steering towards a brighter future within Europe.
You can downvote me as much as you can, but this is the way how ruzzians were and are legitimizing their conquered territories of Ukraine. They are abusing the system Western governments are trying to implement in Kosovo. If you ever wonder why Ukraine didn’t recognized Kosovo – this is the reason. And, ironically, this is the same reason why the current Serbian government didn’t started deepthroating (sorry) the russian dick and support the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Thank God the Balkans are quieting down. With all the current turmoil in the world, a rise of ethnic tension in the Balkans is the last thing we need.
Serbs will still claim Kosovo to be Serbian 1000 years from now. I bet my descendants lives on it.
Takes time, but even though it’s been rocky, Kosovo does appear to be heavily recognized now.
The true breakthrough will be the Serbian government officially recognizing them on a diplomatic level.
Worth mentioning that today also Spain 🇪🇸 recognized the Kosovar 🇽🇰Passport for the first time in its history.

I don’t have any beef with Kosovo or Albania (who, btw, owes Romania a piece of land, lol), but havin’ another small nation in the Balkans is a bad, bad idea. Small countries are poised to become corruption nests and won’t ever amount to anything good in this globalized world of ours. They’ll remain poor.
Ukraine shows us what being out of NATO and the EU is like. What’s Kosovo going to do? Trade with Albania and Montenegro? Partner with China? LoL.
