One could even argue it has an anti-communist message since Bowser’s army of equals is meant to represent the Soviet Union while the Capitalist profit-driven (COINS!!!) Mushroom Kingdom is meant to be the USA.
I hope they DO get political. Saving Democracy is more important than some awards show.
Why? Nobody cares what happens at awards that rich celebrities give themselves. Viewers are way, way down for all these idiotic award shows. Will smith slapping Chris rock was the only interesting thing that’s happened at any of them ever.
There is only one political issue they are worried about.

Fucking UKRAINE aid now. The money cycles back into our own economy through American manufacturing. It helps a besieged nation whose people are struggling. It’ll save money/ American lives down the line if Russia is defeated. One of them needs to say this.
