Hi everyone! I was moving furniture into the basement and accidentally scrapped the door. Does anyone know what the wall paper like material is in this door so I can replace it?
You could take the wallpaper doen from the whole door (no patching this) and reapply new wallpaper and then paint it white. Problem is, the Stuff is expensive since you only need a very small amount (like 2 sqm). Maybe ask a local painter if they sell you a “Rest”…
I think that’s just plain wallpaper, it will be easier to replace the whole door than just the torn off bit and I strongly suggest that you go that route because it will likely be very visible if you only try and replace one piece.

I’ve never seen a wallpapered apartment door in my life… Looks like a typical strong „Leinentapete“. Like this one:
