  1. More proof these people are fucking idiots, not that it was needed.

  2. Isn’t tyre deflation a bit below the threshold of what counts as “vandalism”?

  3. Those guys are complete fucking tools. I’d bet there funding comes from an oil compnay because the only thing there actvity does is piss of the public.

  4. Article seems to have a picture of a Ford Ranger pickup vandalised too

So an electric car and most likely a work vehicle. Impeccable aim

  5. Can someone please email Darwin and tell him to accelerate his theory down there?

  6. Pretty much the same level as the idiots who blocked the entrance of a cooking oil depot.

  7. I disagree with tyre popping in general. Its pointless and only riles up the cagers. But this is a logical target, electric cars are only marginally better for the environment than ice cars.

  8. Most Tesla’s don’t come with spares. A quick search on Google tells me that one tyre produces around 30kg of C02 in the manufacturing stage. This absolute plum just put half their body weight in C02 right into the atmosphere because of their stupidity. They’re on par with the vegans who’s solution to the meat and dairy industry existing is to pour gallons of milk on the floor.

  9. The activists can help the climate by stop reproducing and better yet, stop breathing.

  10. Surely the tesla will have footage of the people who compromised the road worthiness and safety of the vehicle?

  11. Some more fuel to the fire of the country turning even more conservative.

  12. It’s targeting SUVs.

I disagree with it, but the people pointing out the ‘idiocy’ of climate activists vandalising an electric car are missing the two biggest points here…

    1. An SUV is still an SUV. Stopping tailpipe emissions solves one problem. All the other issues they have still very much exist, some actually amplified due to the extra weight (primarily pollution due to tyre wear and road degradation), with electric SUVs
    2. Many climate activists are straight up anti-private car because self propulsion (walking, cycling, etc) and public transport are objectively better for the environment. Great in a public transport utopia… Not particularly practical amid all the strikes and shortages going on in the real world.

Does that legitimise their actions? Definetly not

Does that mean electric SUVs are bad? Nope. Although I’d suggest assessing your need for an SUV over a smaller vehicle (electric or not) for efficiency and maintenance sake.

  13. Considering that humans ourselves contribute to climate change just by respiring, where’s the fucking line lol.

  14. Really depends how you look at it but can very much see the point as I genuinely believe the answer to cars is *NOT* electric cars.

While electric is more environmentally friendly that combustion engine, in the long run we really need to focus on public transport and cycle infrastructure instead of car centric infrastructure.

They might be a reasonable short term solution but we really need to stop thinking of electric cars as problems solved for motor emissions

  15. This really feels like it was done by someone who is just trying to make climate change activists look bad. Maybe even the owner of the car.

  16. These attention seeking clowns really do nothing to help their cause.

It is like that idiot who glued himself to an electric train.

  17. Don’t get the idea that this was a mistake. True “climate activists” would know the difference.

These are just criminal vandals hiding behind a convenient label.
