Maybe, and so? The Russians are willing to lose 5 million it seems, if they get to “stick it to the West.”
I want to hear more what the UK and the West has planned for Ukraine (because what they claimed in the past, namely their unwavering support until a complete Ukrainian victory, has not materialized), rather than them just dissin’ on Russia. Because Putin and his supporters don’t care, and Ukraine deserves more than take punches from Russia until Russia supposedly gives up. It increasingly feels like the West’s plan A (for Russia to take a major battlefield loss and then collapse from the inside) has failed, and the West has no plan B.
They’re going to leave a hell of a mess all over the battlefield
Not nearly enough.
Hallelujah.
So interesting. Putin is destroying the very Russian civilization he claims to protect.
By end of 2024 Ukrainian loses will probably be 400k. Already nearing 300k.
In Febuary 2023 leaked US documents estimated Russian casualties at 200k
Given how these were classified documents – not propaganda – I consider this reliable
In August the US announced it was now at 300k. Maybe the US is biased, but it is inline with the classified documents
In other words… Russia is losing 100k men every 6 months. Assuming trends hold, at the 2.5 year mark, they will be at about half a million dead and wounded

Russia set to lose 500,000 military personnel by year end, says British MoD.
The Russian military is on course to lose 500,000 personnel within the next year, according to the UK’s Ministry of Defence.
The MoD added that Russia was averaging 300 military casualties each day throughout 2023.
It tweeted: “The average daily number of Russian casualties in Ukraine has risen by almost 300 during the course of 2023.
“If the numbers continue at the current rate over the next year, Russia will have lost over half a million personnel in Ukraine.”
