7. It’s not an ambush if the enemy is expecting to be attacked. The amount of wrecked armor littering the landscape would be a big clue. Just sayin’.

8. Thanks for posting this. Ryan always produces excellent, easy-to-follow factual analyses but his expertise really shines bright when armor is involved. Was a pleasure hearing him dissect this complete failure of a mounted assault by the Russians almost as surgically as the Ukrainians dissected each and every piece of armor and infantry thrown at them that day. A military work of art.
