Mmm yes the passive smoking, and having your clothes reek horribly.
The “brown bars” are usually where you can find all the old alcoholics. You can easily sell 20kr beers if each guest drinks 20 of them.
But if each beer was 50kr they’d be pricing out the clientele that they depend on to hang out all day.
Yeah, those places are horrible. Having to basically burn your clothes after a visit and showering 5 times and yet the hair still reeks of smoke.

It’s fun that these old pubs still exist. I prefer the pubs they have in the UK though – it’s nice that you can be in there without getting smoked to death, and also that you can order food. I am always missing the snack/food option in Danish pubs.
