Hello, anyone able to help me understand this, Landlord has sent me a bill of 275.44 to pay?

Does this look right, very new to all this.

    You pay a share of your rent as “Nebenkosten” – that’s the 1600 €. These aren’t really rent, but advance payments for that’s listed here. Once a year your landlord will tally the actual costs that occurred over the year and then send you a bill to correct for over- or underpayment with the advance payments. In this case you underpaid, so you how them a bit. If you’d have overpaid, they would owe you.

  2. That’s normal. Part of your monthly rent payment goes towards general costs related to the building. They’re estimated in advance. In this case, the actual costs were a bit higher, so your landlord is asking you to cover the remaining amount. It’s not unusual.

  3. When did you receive that?

    For a billing period ending on December 31st, 2022, the landlord had to send it to you by December 31st, 2023.
