Ukraine celebrates Christmas on the 25th of December: you’re either late or too early.
😁
Happy Christmas!
To avoid confusion. Today is Christmas in countries that follow the Julian calendar. A lot of Orthodox churches (including the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople (Istanbul)) follow the Gregorian calendar like the rest of the world.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it today!
Hmm… Happy christmas
For the Orthodox (Romania, Greece, Bulgaria) who follow the Gregorian calendar, today is the Feast of Saint John the Baptist, following the Epiphany which was yesterday (January 6).
Thanks, we love you
Happy christmas to our neighbours 🇧🇬🇬🇷
Happy Christmas! May the birth of Jesus Christ bring you happiness and joy!
My local orthodox church was full packed at today’s service.
Dislike because just brothers

Merry Christmas, have blessed and love with year with family and friends!
Merry Christmas Orthobros
You’re congratulating Belarus, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Russia.
Most of those celebrate it today because the russian church forced them to change their calendars.
We in Ukraine had a calendar reform in 2023 and are officially celebrating Christmas on the 25th, though people have been for years now, to battle the russia-imposed date.
Other Orthodox countries celebrate it on the 25th too, like Greece, Romania and Bulgaria.
Peace and love for everyone ❤️
Ironically, I have a cake day on Reddit 😅👻
Merry Christmas!
Happy Christmas!
What do you do when you have to explain to Greek Family that you can’t go to the Easter Liturgy, cause you are a protestant? I hate having to visit my Greek family for Easter.
Christmas is celebrated on Jan 6th by Eastern Orthodox christian countries, such as Russia, Armenia as this date corresponds to Julian calendar‘s December 25th.
Merry Christmas!
Edit: corrected the country list
Thank you European brothers and sisters! Big ups from Montenegro 🌠🍻🇲🇪🇪🇺
Bulgaria is Orthodox, but we celebrate on 25th December so I guess only some Orthodox countries celebrate on 7th January
Merry Christmas everyone!
Merry Christmas 🎄
I just realised that no Orthodox country that celebrates Christmas on 7th January is in the EU, while the EU Orthodox are celebrating it on 25th Dec.
Happy Christmas to the Orthodox except of the Russians
I am orthodox and its not a Christmas form me! 🤷♂️🥴
Merry Christmass, for all of you
Judging from the combat reports there’s an undeclared ceasefire today.
There’s old and new calendar orthodox churches, so this doesn’t apply to every orthodox, just the ones that follow the old calendar.
Merry Christmas!!
Same to you brother.
