  1. **but power won’t come for several years** LMAO gotta love Capitalism o7

  2. Texas to send power to Mississippi?

Texas needs more distribution, from Mississippi.

  3. Not suprised its going to so long to build.
Intergrid connections are a lot more complex then people realize.
Its not as simple as running a cable and plugging it in at bolth ends.
Since you need to get easements across private property to build it. Just running the cable is an uphill battle.

There are additional challenges. Maintaining the 60hz frequency on the grid is super important. And every generator needs to be synchronized. An out of sync generator can actually cancel out other capacity rather than add.

Now, you add a connection to a seperate grid. Its not practical to sync the two. Many early grid connections were essential a giant generator and motor combo. That way, you have a big spinning mass to help keep the frequency stable.

Inam curious what the power electronics on the 100kv DC cables are like. And what a 3 gigawatt inverter looks like.
