  1. On January 6, Ukrainians celebrate the traditional religious holiday known as Vodohreshcha, commemorating the Baptism of Jesus. When Jesus Christ reached 30, he was baptized in the Jordan River.

On Vodohreshcha, the water in rivers and lakes is believed to have special healing power, capable of purifying both the soul and body. Many Ukrainians adhere to the tradition and plunge into the icy waters to feel healthy all year.

Here is how we celebrated Vodohreshcha in Kulykivka!

  2. I would have said this was very brave, but I believe your bravier has shown itself in much better ways than this. Keep fighting, keep winning 💪 ❤️ 🇬🇧

  3. Haha… the water in the Jordan River is nice and warm. This is a whole other level. I love the branches made to look like a date palm!

  4. Good Lord… I’m shivering just looking at this! Good for you! Cheers! I never could have done it!

  5. … there is no way I’m going to get in the water outside when it’s freezing. You have way more courage than I do! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)

  6. Lol you are brave, honey. I’m freezing just looking at your pics. Good job!

  7. The only time I’ve done that was when I was water-skipping my old snowmobile and sunk it. It’s certainly better than a cup of coffee.

  8. NOPE. NOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPE.

Good for you but you’d have to roll up with a truck load of money for me to do that. Crazy stuff.

  9. I only did this in the military because I had to.

You did it by free will and that takes some serious balls.
