  1. And unfortunately there have still been similar events. A literal attack on freedom of speech and the press, which I don’t think we’ve learnt from.

  2. Have to say when it happened I found Hebdo to be a bit edgelord in their expression.

What a difference a few years makes. Numerous terrorist attacks and hate crimes later and I’m right on the same page as them. They can express their frustration and their insistence you don’t shit up their country in whatever way they want.

  3. We should never stop criticising, joking and expressing our own opinions on any subject in our daily lives. If we compromise our Western values and way of life then our countries will end up just like shit holes those pedophile sympathisers escaped from.

  4. The refugee crisis was an insurgency. Showing with the palastine conflict you have terrorist sympathizers running around freely with violence unaccustomed citizens to defend. If the hammer falls in Iran and the islamic world goes to war, Europe will burn.

  5. Be careful. In Poland, under the new “pro-European” libleft regime of Donald Tusk, any perceived symptoms of -ism or -phobia in independent media result now in orchestrated lawsuits, state-incited repressions, including unlawful hostile takeovers or liquidations, politically fuelled defamation and boycott campaigns.

So, this kind of islamophobic images would surely be persecuted.

Charlie Hebdo and French people, despite their obvious deficits of democracy (vide recent violence against yellow vests movement, acts of antisemitism or police beating attorneys and judges) can feel lucky. In Poland AD 2024, Charlie Hebdo would already be shut down by the former colonel of special services, currently delegated to the post of the “Minister of Culture and National Heritage”.

    Just so you know.
