Sunak’s tax hikes may deepen UK’s cost-of-living crisis, experts warn

  1. 100 Billion pounds for corruption need to come from somewhere.

People have a hard time dealing with large numbers. But once it turns into 2000 pounds per working person, they may get it.

  2. My wealthy landlord sees no tax increase while my wife and I will have more than £500 taken off our earnings this year.

“Fuck the young, they never vote Tory anyway, so it won’t affect our polling”

  3. Article states that a 30k salary is seeing an increase of 400 in tax per year compounded with a 1200 increase in cost of living (which we all know is much higher). Painful times

  4. You dont say, taking more money from the poor people, giving them less to spend and having them fear more of a crunch when a sizable portion have no reserve money or have under £100 in savings could cause a worse crisis?

Tories do not care about the poor or middle class, when will people get that?

  5. “May”?

So there’s a chance that increases taxes on working-age people *won’t* increase their cost of living?

  6. The Conservative solution is always to relax things for the rich and make things worse for the poor. No idea why people vote for these ghouls.

  7. Inflation is insane, house prices are insane, the odds are stacked against the poor. Why any young person would want to stick around this country is beyond me.

  8. Yeah, it’s unlikely to happen now I should think. Even this shower of thick cunts can see that this is going down like a lead balloon. It has the added bonus of Johnson being able to make Sunak look like a bad bastard in the eyes of the public…and he can come along and “save the day”.

“It would have been worse for you all if I’d let Sunak get his way, just you remember that.” – Johnson, probably.

  9. Do these mugs not understand how their own economy works

It you make sure people have less money

    Then less money gets spent

    And then the economy collapses

They’re setting themselves up for failure

  10. – housing crises
    – cost of living crises
    – Brexit crises
    – healthcare crises

    All government caused

  11. This is *not* how to unseat Liz Truss for presumptive PM when the Conservatives force BoJo out.

  12. What the hell does a multi millionaire know or even care about the struggle to simply stay warm and ear that so many of us are going through
Don’t tell me you sympathise Sunak .. do something to fucking help us
Try cutting our inflated Defence spending and recover the money you and your Tory cronies stole in PPE and other scans during the last two years
Crocodile tears don’t pay our bills

  13. A Tory makes life harder for the working class? Oh tell me more of this fine sonnet, I’ve never heard it’s like before.

  14. Thing is, when I’m sitting in my other house in Santa Barbara, I honestly couldn’t give a fuck about what’s happening at home

  15. Isn’t he a multi millionaire who is married to a billionaire?

Is he saying that he and other very rich people will be paying more tax?

    Rishi- Well it’s….all…Er..it’s very complicated.

  16. Stating the obvious at this point. The Tories would massacre working people if they could. No matter hard you work or back them and their bile. You are cattle to them, you do the actual hard work they can’t do and then they Rob your taxes for their mates… When will people get this.

  17. That’s the idea. Crash the economy then introduce Basic Universal Income, the amount payable (In the forthcoming digital currency) dependent on your Social Credit Score. The framework for all this has already been invested in through the £37,000,000,000 Test and Trace system
