My great grandfather came to Canada from northern Ireland in 1928. He was from the Coleraine Derry area. Family name is Caskey and he was a protestant. We can not figure out what this emblem is depicting or it’s significance. Any thoughts about it would be greatly appreciated.

Is this a Rorschach Test? I can see a mirror image of birds…like stylised peacocks. This is a love walking stick. I am sure he was very proud of it. Thank you for sharing and I hope you get a better answer than mine.
