I started living in this apartment 2 months ago. I have been ventilating the apartment once everyday. Today,I noticed this mold growing on the wall where I kept some of my belongings against it. Should I inform this to my landlord first or should I remove this mould on my own without informing my landlord? Also,is this mold dangerous right now? I know that the black ones are dangerous but these are greenish as of now. Do I have to take any precautions before and after removing this mold?

  1. That looks worse than it probably is. Get some spray and clean the floor and skirting board while you are at it-.

  2. We had this in big scale. Told our landlord and they just said we didnt vent enough. I just sprayed it with anti fungus stuff from dm and it went away. Was barely anything left to see afterwords. I would say take pictures and try to get it done with some simple stuff. Vent that room extra well (heat it and then open the window. Close before the walls get cold. Repeat multiple times), if you get it all and it seems fine, its probably fine. If you dont get it out easily or it comes back after a bit of time, get help and inform your landlord.

Btw with our home we learned, that they bricked up a window for ad space and now the airflow is shit, so that corner gathers water if ANYTHING is in that space. Like 3 m^2 just wasted. We moved out. They were scam-isch.
