  1. I wonder if the cherry on the end of that cigarette was enough to spoof the heat seeker? Fun fact-smoking can lead to long term health issues.

  2. Best kind of combat footage.
    Actual combat.
No one dies. Short lead up, action and result. Lack off aftermath is obvious.

  3. The strange part is, a “Verba” is a Ukrainian word for willow tree (also similar but not the same in some Slavic languages), but Russians usually call this tree “Iva”. So, the Russians called their weapons a Ukrainian word, while at the same time claiming that the Ukrainian language does not exist and that it is only a Russian dialect

  4. These Russians don’t even want to be there. They have to fake disappointment about the miss so Putin does not execute their families.

  5. An interesting note – ukr air is able to now fly MUCH closer to the front – did they destroy enough SHORAD that MANPADS is all that’s left on the front line?

  6. It’s a very good thing that they are relegated to Soviet era technology. Who am I kidding, even if the Russians were being equipped with nothing but modern military equipment, they would still be the biggest military joke this century.

  7. That MANPADS operator must have been shaking more than the cameraman and caused the missile to miss.

  8. Unrelated, but seeing Ukraine on January without snow is fairly weird.

During WW2, for example, the snow would be bountiful, and the weather cold.
