I migrated here about six months ago and I have 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning R&D. What surprises me is the fact there are so few related job postings for me to apply to.
When people hear my area is Deep Learning, they are like “Ah, there’s plenty of jobs for what you do”, but they’re uninformed. (I’d love to be proved wrong).
This me but I am Finnish. Definitely not just migrants who are struggling.
If you do the same thing you will get the same results. This is the same story that comes up every year just with a new person who is struggling to find work with a Finnish higher education.
I can see Finland following suit for other countries that will have a high emigration as they are looking elsewhere for work. You lose the education, the skills, and the advancements which will just be sold in another country that benefits from the taxes.
>Hiring a foreigner also means that the company has to learn how to accept a foreigner as part of the work community.
Sounds like you are inviting an alien to come and work from another planet.
Does anyone know how to translate the articles from this publication into English?
Does he speak Finnish?
I doubt it.
