One of the towns local to me, on the Great Ouse has had some flooding. Many of the towns in the area that sit by this river have had issues.
Doubt many of you have heard of St Neots, I hadn’t until I had to go to school there in the mid 90s (so boring it was left of the AA road map in the late 90s).
Obviously I hope everyone is safe and well.

Lovely flooring, bit wet though.
How bad has this bit been lately?

Can you even use the raised footbridge?
Who doesn’t like going to the co-op in st.neots
I’ve only been to St Neots once in my life, to get a covid jab. I didn’t know it had a river, but I do now.
Honestly, these are some great images of floodplains working as intended. They’ve filled up, but the water hasn’t broken past them yet and just from this photo it doesn’t seem to have reached any residential streets – which means there haven’t been any residential streets built on the floodplains. It’ll be up the walls on some of those waterfront houses, like the ones on the right bank, but they’ll also be the ones who’re best prepared to deal with flooding.
Flooring appears substantial
Bollocks, just seen why you’ve all mentioned the flooring. I obviously meant flooding.
Those boats look REALLY good right about now!
I’m not all that familiar with st Neots, but I do work at Wyboston lakes, here’s hoping I have a job to go into in the morning
atleast all them boats can go out for a lovely paddle in that toilet bowl.
How’s the rowing club?
