A few years ago I was trying to find a way to stay in Germany as an Australian tourist with no type of special visa for longer than 90 days in a 180 period and when I posted this question online I was absolutely shot down by everyone and got so many negative responses telling me you can’t just go there as a tourist for as long as you want and you’re entitled ect ect. Anyway I ended up finding out there is a way and even the people at German border patrol usually didn’t know about it until I showed them. There is a rule for Australians that you can stay for 90 days then leave to a non Schengen country then return the same day (doesn’t have to be the same day) and you get another 90 days and you can do this an unlimited amount of times. So you can go to Germany and every 90 days just fly to London and back (which costs basically nothing) as many times as you want.
Anyway I was just sharing this because I thought it might help someone like me who needed this information 5 years ago. And I did this 5 years ago it works I just printed out the web page kept it in my passport and showed border patrol.
Just google this.
The German-Australian Agreement on the Exemption of Visa Requirements, dated 22.12.1952
The duration of one stay in Germany must not exceed 90 days but the number of entries to Germany is not limited. In order to re-enter Germany for another 90 days visitors have to depart Germany for any other country outside the Schengen States (e.g. the UK or Romania to name a few) and can come back even the same day.
