I can guarantee you that while completely banned, in Italy nobody gives a flying fuck and a lot of people smoke in cars without consequences.

The color scheme is confusing if red means allowed and green means forbidden. Moreover, it’s a bad color scheme for colorblind people.

Europe’s lax smoking laws are always so surprising to me it’s like the one area where Canada has way more strict laws I can think of
To be honest, I didn’t even know it’s actually banned in Turkey until I saw this. Sometimes even taxi drivers may ask (especially if you are a male around 20s) if they can smoke during your trip or they don’t give a damn about it lol.

I was once taking a bus from bulgaria to turkey and the bus driver was smoking the whole way. i was fine but my friend who hated the smell of cigarettes was absolutely fuming
This map is false I’m pretty sure, in Hungary we have a law that basically says anything that distracts you while driving is prohibited. So if your loved one tries to argue with you while driving just tell them its illegal to do so 😀

I think we lost one small country between Poland and Lithuania
In Germany we had the plan to ban it if there are also children inside.

Not a total ban in Lithuania. It’s prohibitet to smoke in cars if there are people younger than 18 years old or pregnant women together.

5 years ago I got a used car from someone that smoked in it. It still smells of it.
This is one of those laws that’s rarely ever enforced.
I belive in Spain it’s ilegal if you’re the driver because the DGT says that you don’t have both hands free or something like that
