End mass jabs and live with Covid, says ex-head of vaccine taskforce

  1. I’d be quite interested to know about what (if any) long-term damage is caused by each variant. That’s surely the most crucial factor in learning to live with it.

  2. > End mass jabs and live with Covid, says ex-head of vaccine taskforce

    > Dr Clive Dix says we should treat the virus like flu

Ummm we deal with flu with a massive round of vaccinations every year

  3. I was double vaccinated and got covid 3 weeks ago, very mild just one day in bed feeling shitty, sore itchy skin, no cough cold, temp, headache. Thought to myself I won’t Evan bother having the booster what’s time point, this virus is very mild.

Well since day 15ish my heart rate is all over the place this last week, resting spiking from 65-68 normal range to 110 for up to 30 mins per time, I tried playing some halo on Xbox last night and it hit 185 instantly, so had to stop, I normally don’t see more than 170 whilst running for comparison.

I also never sleep in the day time, like maybe once a year for an hour, I’ve been coming home from work this week and sleeping 2 to 3hrs per evening and my appetite is crazy I guess my elevated heart rate is burning alot of calories.

I’m only 37, was a regular gym goer and no health conditions – really hoping this just goes away as I can’t imagine dealing with it long term.

  4. There’s only one way COVID goes from here.

    Testing stops.

The MSM are instructed to never report on COVID statistics again.

People who continue to wear masks in public will be labelled as “doomsters” and “creating anxiety”, until peer pressure shames most into not wearing them anymore.

Everyone is told to go back to the office. Employers run growing numbers of “one off” compulsory in-person meetings to acclimatise existing WFH colleagues for when their privileges end.
People who swap companies to escape the transition will find new job offers stop putting WFH on their contract, unless they’re in some shortage sector.

COVID mutates every year and causes issues for decades, but 50k to 100k extra people dying each year will become priced as “acceptable” by most in society, and constantly compared to a “bad flu year”.

The millions of people who developed long term health conditions during the pandemic will be categorised as “work capable” by PIP assessors to keep their numbers off the books, and left to fend for themselves.

The Government’s response will be spun as a “victory for common sense”, and the Tories will claim they could have achieved herd immunity sooner if Labour hadn’t blocked them as a talking point at the next election.

Nothing gets learnt for next time. The new normal is the old normal. Most people think it’s a bit shit WFH never took off, but are just glad to be able to stop thinking about COVID, and to focus instead on what Kate Middleton is wearing that day.

    Shares in Pret rocket.
