  6. I can remember on other broad message board websites in the past when opposing fans would often be able to pop in and have constructive conversations and it was accepted as part of the culture. Trolls were shouted down of course, but there wasn’t such a gate-keeping culture of subs being (for honest lack of a better term) “safe spaces”.

    I don’t know what OP might’ve said on /r/Juve, I don’t care to look, but if he went there – accidentally or otherwise – trying to have honest conversation and got the boot just because he supports the enemy…it just kinda sucks that’s how the Reddit culture is about these things.

    (Having said that, for these same reasons you’ll never see me on /r/Juve or the Juventuz forums, because there’s no way that’s going to end well for me. I might lament it but this isn’t a fight I’m going to fight for.)

  8. The majority of Juve fans in their sub is pretty reasonably behaving, albeit biased. Only a few of them are rotten. You are free to engage with them in the general subs but I wouldn’t go to their own sub. You won’t be able to win that battle

    Just downvote and move on. We all do that
