DeSantis is a long way from Florida. Lawmakers at home have noticed.

  1. Hmmm, well maybe don’t change the laws to allow your governor to still be governor while running for president.

  2. Surely there are plenty of Republican legislators who can step up and fill his shoes.

  3. Are they sure since no one can see his travel itinerary?

  4. Well the self serving greedy assholes did change laws to allow puddin fingers to do this.

There was a sensible law on the books to avoid shit like that but it wasn’t convenient for Ron.

His travel is covered up and he gets to do whatever he wants too.

Florida wanted him now they have to live with him.

  5. >Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, while meeting with reporters in early December, said she had called DeSantis to press him on his legislative priorities and that **the governor had quipped about getting everything he had wanted the previous year.**

Yep, all done. Very impressive with 3 years left in his term. Florida is perfect. Nothing else to fix there.

  6. I just want him to get his ass kicked in Iowa. He deserves it.

  7. I wasn’t a big fan of Crist but he did press DeSantis pretty hard on this in their one debate. Although if he was spending more time in Tallahassee, one imagines we’d be dealing with more attempts at fascist legislation, so I can’t say I miss having DeSantis around. Not looking forward to the remaining 3 years of his term, especially if he uses it to try to save face with the far-right after his embarrassing presidential run.

  8. He can’t run for governor again. Why bother with it? He can’t even beat Trump in his home state.

  9. Once again republicans have shit the bed they made for themselves. They allowed him to run for President while remaining governor. Now he’s missing on the job he has while campaigning for a job he’ll never get. Take a bow, republicans: Your incompetence is on full display.

  10. Heh, he’s been gone for almost a year , and NOW it bothers them ?

  11. The longer he stays gone, the less crazed and hateful the state becomes. Stay away Ron!

  12. I love that he jumped into the prez race and not only destroyed his chance of ever being president, but also has thrown his chances to be reelected governor. The shoe lifts were his undoing. I don’t even think Casey os going to stick with him.

  13. Someone should pay his pilot to take him over and leave him in russia.

  14. As someone IN Florida, good. Stay away as long as possible, keep getting humiliated by Big Daddy Trump and wasting a bunch of Pac money.

Happy not to have as much “governing” thanks, not if it’s of the “slavery taught life skills” quality.

  15. >Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, while meeting with reporters in early December, said she had called DeSantis to press him on his legislative priorities and that the governor had quipped about getting everything he had wanted the previous year.

    >And DeSantis has made that point repeatedly on the campaign trail in Iowa this past week as he maintains that he had “over delivered” on his promises to Florida voters.

Ah yes, the sign of a true leader. Accomplish your short list of stuff and then fuck off and abandon your people for something more interesting.
