US President Joe Biden has called on Republicans in Congress to act and approve supplemental funding, including a US$60 billion aid package for Ukraine, after a deal was struck to fund the government in 2024.
“Now, congressional Republicans must do their job, stop threatening to shut down the government, and fulfil their basic responsibility to fund critical domestic and national security priorities, including my supplemental request. It’s time for them to act,” the White House stated.
And let UA hit targets inside RU. Like, to use F-16s to shoot down any type of RU plane that comes within 100km of Ukraine borders.
If aid is being withheld Ukraine 🇺🇦 can not wait for permission to open up their play book .
This is a big deciding factor of how the war will go. If Ukraine gets the 60 billion, that will deter Russia and even China. Russia is praying for US to stop aid to Ukraine. 60B should be enough to last till the end of year and would definitely be a deciding factor on how fast Ukraine can recapture its territory. Please for the love of god and man kind approve this! We are all tired of spending thousands of dollars on funding the military. We can use some military industrial complex funding that the US has. There is only so much us regular civilians can donate to raise money for civilian drones and pick up trucks. Ukraine needs NATO level military to be able to beat Russia. Yes we can defend ourselves against Russia on our own, with just support of civilians, but we cannot take back our territory.
Why does Biden need congress? He should just do whatever he can with his executive powers… I’m worried he’s just too lame, old and tired to genuinely care about Ukraine. Guy has literally been a foreign policy dove his entire life.
Gee, why are democrats so more interested in ukraine border security but not ours? Sure republicans are using ukraine as leverage to try and get democrats to secure our border, my question: why doesn’t anyone want to recognize how radical the dems are that republicans have to use ukraine in order to get the democrats to even consider coming to the table and consider our own border security?
The only block is the repubs that seem to have their tongue up trump and putlers bung hole. There is a very very good chance the House of Reps swings dem this fall. If that happens aid houes way, way, way up in 2025.
