Can’t go back to square one when we’re already under rock bottom mate.
Then that would be a good start as we’ve been going backwards since the tories came to power
Square one sounds ideal. Yes please.
This would be a vast improvement from the drain-circling hellscape that it’s become under Tory rule.
Don’t threaten me with a good time like that Rishi, you naughty little bitch.
Considering UK GDP hasn’t grown since 2010, maybe ‘going back to square one’ is precisely what this country needs.
Square one is an upwards move from where we currently are
Cause it’s going so well under another Tory government.
Good.
‘Back to Basics’ should literally be Starmer’s 3-word election campaign
Given we’re currently on Square Shit, Square One sounds pretty good to me.
Square one sounds like a vast improvement on our current situation.
Back to square one after we’ve fallen a dozen steps behind under the Conservatives sounds great to me
Bin day is coming up, don’t forget to vote out the trash!
Nation of people desperate to get back to square one looks up in interest.
Don’t threaten me with a good time Rishi
If only. It’s gonna take much longer than a few years to even begin to put right what they’ve fucked up
I’ve spent most of my life hearing Tories tell the nation that if it voted Labour we’d have spiralling food costs, stagnating wages, housing problems, and corruption in parliament. Let’s hope voters are smart enough to see through the lies this time.
Which “Square one” would that be?
Last time Labour were in power was one of the best time be alive in this country since at least the 70s.
Soon to go Sunak please start packing your bags, your occupancy of 10 D-Street is coming to an end.
So all of their supposedly massive improvements to the UK will be immediately undone if Labour wins?
That doesn’t sound strong and stable to me.
Better to go back to square one than a hypercube filled with badger shit.
Fuck Rishi Sunak in every hole on his stupid, ignorant fucking face.
Still can’t believe they launched ‘long term plan’ as their pitch at a conference where they scrapped High Speed Rail to the North and reallocated the funds to fill in potholes in London.
These twats are absolutely delusional. The country is worse in basically every single way than it was in 2010
I’d love to go back there
Square one from when? Last time labour was in power when it was the middle of a global recession and things were STILL less dire than they are now?
The Conservatives haven’t really impressed even to people who would like to be Conservative. I can’t bring myself to vote Labour but I’m definitely not voting for these assholes.
The tax system has some very nasty bumps in it, particularly to mid-upper paid indivuals due to the loss of the tax free allowance at 100k and childcare at 50k. Even paying 45% from 100k on would be fairer, and you can set a 50% rate from 200k on if it makes you happy.
The government is not small business and entrepreneur friendly. IR35 and high taxes on dividends makes being self employed unfavourable with the added costs of going through an umbrella company deeply resented.
With the cancellation of High Speed rail to the North of England it’s like they’ve told everyone north of Birmingham to fuck off. If they’d really been serious about levelling up, they would have commenced building a transport system for the 21st century **starting** with the North of England

I’ve just seen in Wellingborough they’re selecting the partner of the MP who was deselected for sexual “misdemeanours” as their candidate. It’s like they *want* to lose.
Is this the square one we had at the close of the Brown administration? If so sign me up!
Sure Start Centres for children, 20,000 more police, 25,000 more police admin staff, lowest NHS wait times on record, access to NHS dentistry, lower immigration, higher real terms wages, only 4,000 odd NHS vacancies, bigger and better equipped armed forces, less of a backlog in the courts, etc.
Sounds absolutely wonderful.
Sounds good. I’m looking for a new game start not going back to the last save point. Y’all fucked it way too much for that.
Square one? You mean when £1 was $2? And a freddo was 10p? And my tax bill would’ve been tens of thousands of pounds lower and I could actually use the NHS in a timely manner?
Yes please.
What would “square one” be, taking real wages back to the GFC? Because they’re currently [11% below that](https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-8456/) where I live, and 8% nationwide.
You mean back when you could get a GP appointment? Or when there were NHS dentists? Or was it when we still had sure start?
Fuck you Sunak. You and your lot had broken this country.
If square one means I can see a dentist, a gp, the trains run better, we get better bang for our buck in taxes etc, then yeah, back to square one please 🙏
Things were better when Labour were last in charge
Tories: “Labour will try to undo everything the Tories have done”
Labour: “What he said ☝️”
Back to how it was before you took charge? I’m sold.
Fucking idiot, once again Tory prick in charge wants to make out like the last 14 years of their shitty party being in power didn’t happen and everything wrong is still all Labour’s fault.
Jesus Christ was sort of nightmarish lovecraftian horror of a country is Sunak trying to create?
Could you imagine looking at contemporary Britain and thinking we’re making progress towards anything better at the current time?
These people are insane
Both parties spend far too much time stoking division between either parties followers and doing nothing for the inhabitants of the country. Lying little fucking weasels.
The whole system needs to be ripped out and taken back to square one. None of the politicians we have represent our interests at all, only the highest bidders.
More scare mongering and lies from the torys, I am shocked.
What an odious, noxious little poison dart frog he really is.
Aren’t we off the board at the moment, so actually getting back to square one is a vast improvement
Square one means a leap forward after years of going backwards.
Back to square one…as if the Tories have progressed the UK in anyway.
I’d like to know what square he thinks we’re in now
I mean, being back to square one wouldn’t be all that bad. What square are we on with this lot, negative 100?
Square one would be a huge improvement over where his government have left us.
As opposed to the Square root of absolute dogshite we are in rn and have been for years. Fucking Rishi Einstein there.
Genuinely cannot imagine the most ardent conservatives thinking this lot deserve it or could mange well with another term. Any Tories i know think they need a reset snd labour would be better (if not that great). I see why some would shift to reform – though not for me.
I would love Labour to commit to PR in manifesto. We would then hopefully lose fringe elements to the central parties, but they would have a voice in the commons. Which I feel would be better democracy for Britain.
