It was nice to see the Wind That Shakes the Barley get a mention. Wouldn’t have thought that would be particularly well known outside Ireland.
For all the great roles he’s had, he’ll always be Damien Donovan to me
I’m the dude disguised as a dude praising another dude
I remember my first film to see Cillian Murphy in and it was intermission, solid Irish film making
High praise but deserves all the plaudits. He’s been an exceptional actor for years. An inspiration to anyone who wants to go into the acting industry. We really do have some amazing actors/actresses in the movie and TV industry now. Which is mad, because acting/drama wasn’t really a major focus growing up.
I am also wildly uncomfortable with praise, keep RDJ away from me.
Saw him in theatre in 2004 doing The Playboy of the Western World in the Gaiety was phenomenal!
