It makes sense now why Zelensky has been cleaning house over the last year. I think US is seeing a trusted level **long term** partner, they’re probably going to discuss setting up defense manufacturing and, assuming Ukraine wins, probably incorporate them into future international defense manufacturing chain sector.
No, building military shit only is not gonna be the only thing – just a very mutually beneficial start.
If this is going to be a long drawn out war. Ukraine needs to be able to be self sufficient. Ukraine cannot afford to be relying on neighbors that may, or may not be able to supply her with the arms she needs. Besides, there are no restrictions on the use of what Ukraine makes for herself.
