Few people outside of Greece can understand the vast changes in Greek society over the past decades. The church has a lot more weight in politics than in real mainstream society. I’m not going to deny there are still a lot of improvements to be made, but I’m so proud of my countrymen and the evolution that I have personally observed since the 90s.

Hopefully Cyprus follows suit but the Cypriot church is much more influential and powerful so I doubt it.
