> In Arizona and Michigan, two states where the GOP presidential candidate will likely have to win a majority of suburban voters to get back in the White House, the state Republican parties are running critically short on money. In Arizona, the state GOP has just $14,800 left in the bank at the end of August, as reported by the Arizona Mirror.
>
> In Michigan, the state Republican Party had $93,000 in its bank accounts as of July 2023. A recent draft report shared by insiders with MLive in early December said that the party was on “the brink of bankruptcy.”
Other states mentioned in the article with financial troubles for the GQP include Minnesota, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Florida.
I hope they keep adding more states to this list and keep flushing away shitloads of money on Trump’s exorbitant, wasteful legal fees. The less money that they can use to pump disinformation into the election the better.
Ahem… lol
I’m hoping Michigan brings charges that include Ronna McDaniel. I’d love to see the RNC have to pay legal bills.
That makes sense. Most donations are going to Trump and legal fees.
the party of fiscal responsibility lmao.
*shrugs*
When you grift so much that you kill the golden goose. Welcome to the new GOP.
All the Arizona Republicans spent all their money on Trump NFTs. LOL
They should pull themselves up by their bootstraps and stop with all the avocado toast
Where’s all that trickle down growth? Oh… Riiight
The Trump Effect.
So is the NRA. Coincidence?
Hopefully an omen for the collapse of the party soon
Go irrationally-angry-at-the-woke, go broke.
A mouthful, but sometimes reality doesn’t fit slogan structure.
Republicans are bad with money. Not news. I have never, in my adult life, seen a Republican president not create a recession.
They’re all like that.
Can’t say I feel sorry for ’em. Here’s hoping it makes this election year easier.
>Why are state Republican parties in such financial bad shape, despite the party leading in the number of governors (26 to 24) and state legislators (4,023 to 3,269)?
> The financial challenges are due in part to years of losses against Democrats, and in part because former donors have dropped the party over its embrace of debunked claims like former President Donald Trump still saying that the 2020 election was rigged and stolen.
The GOP might have tons of support from working and middle class voters, but I’ll bet big money donors don’t want to be tied to conspiracy theories. I also wonder how voters and companies now give their money directly to Trump vs. the RNC. I’m sure the RNC would kick money up to Trump but I’ll bet it doesn’t flow in the other direction.
I grant them all one half-hearted “Thoughts and Prayers”
Trump stole all their money for his court cases lmao.
Cry me a river, rubes. You got conned.
They’re going broke because the Trump vein of the Republican party has attracted all the most oppositional-defiant, stubborn, conspiracy theory obsessed individuals in the country.
And surprise surprise, those people don’t work very well with others.
Everywhere that election deniers and MAGA extremists have coopted the local party, it has harmed the party.
Because these people are not tethered to reality, they don’t know how to cooperate with others, they’re intransigent and just dim, because the election clearly wasn’t stolen and if you deeply believe that it was you’re not an intelligent person capable of critical thought.
When the driving force behind your party is a total distrust of government and authority it makes actually being in charge problematic. Look at Michigan. The new chair of the party was there for all of 5 minutes before the deep state conspiracies started flying about her.
They ran their parties like a business. Unfortunately, it was a Trump business.
You mean grifters and criminals can’t be trusted with money? Gasp!
The writing was on the wall when they made Rick Scott RNC treasurer. Like in what universe could that scumbag be trusted with money, and then fast forward a year and he took most of it and they freaked out in the news reels for a month or two before the billionaire class bailed them out.
It’d be hilarious if they weren’t being constantly elevated to important public leadership positions by dirt-eating moron and bigots.
That Russian money is no longer coming in it appears
And nothing of value was lost
What a shame.
Is putin out of money?
If Trump loses the election AND manages to bankrupt the Republican Party AND the Russian oligarchs all at the same time…. I’ll admit he was right all along and really did make America great again.
I wonder how much the sanctions against Russia have to do with it.
Man, those economic sanctions on Russia are really beginning to pay off!
Add to this list the Vermont GOP, who has been borderline bankrupt for at least a decade now.
They manage to scrape together just enough to keep the lights on, but AFAIK that is because they’ve given up on having an actual physical office to operate out of.
They aren’t legitimate. Trump took their legitimacy and any integrity they had. They have a bunch of poor uneducated followers and their big donors have fled. They waste the taxpayers money on stupid revenge investigations. They lie and cheat just like trump. The Republican Party is dead. They are now just a bunch of weak crybaby losers threatening people and our democracy.
I won’t even support a trump supporting business anymore. I boycott anything related to the magats.
All contributions are being funneled away from Republican Party coffers directly to Trump. This is absolutely the most predictable outcome. He’s going to bankrupt the RNC across the country because all donations lead to Trump.
Well, after it was discovered that the NRA was receiving dark money from Russia and funneling it into republican super pacs, it starts to make more sense. Russia is currently going broke over its ground war in Ukraine and the NRA is on the brink of bankruptcy. Mercer money can only be spread so thin.
Aww! Anyway I have a turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich 🥪 for lunch today
But I thought if you go woke you go broke? Was that not true at all?

Everything conservatives do, they do poorly.
