Hello I’ve bought a deutschland ticket for my 8 days trip in Germany. I am aware that the ticket doesn’t work for the ICE, IC, EC.
But what I am confused about us the RE. On the Deutsche Bahn website it is specified that the ticket doesn’t work for the “RE operated by DB Fernverkehr AG”
What does it mean exactly ? Because I am not able to figure out what RE I can get.
Here’s an example of a train I need to take.
Thanks in advance for the answers

There’s a very small number of trains which are labeled as both RE and IC trains. On some of those, they’ve reached a deal so the D-ticket is valid, but I don’t think they’ve reached a deal with all of them. I don’t think there are any in that area of the country. It should say in the app if they’re both RE and IC trains.

Use deepl if you don’t understand German.
If you tap one of these connections, and then for a specific RE train tap “Details” and finally the “i” icon, you should see an explicit hint that the Deutschlandticket is *not* accepted (or, in case of a “codeshare” RE/IC train where it *is* accepted, a hint that this is the case).
If the train is labelled “RE”, and there is no hint whatsoever, it is accepted — if the journey is within Germany, that is.
Note that it is called **Deutschland**ticket for a reason: Its validity in other countries (here: France) is very limited. The TER train from Metz to Forbach is definitely not covered, and there isn’t any explicit statement about whether or not the RE train from Forbach to Saarbrücken is covered.
Just assume it works for all RE’s. It doesn’t work for like 3 or 4 very specific routes around Berlin
Are you French? I’m French and I travel from Lorraine to Germany often. I live in Germany.
You need to use a French ticket for the TER (in my case I go to Saarbrücken with the TER or with a bus, the bus is cheaper for me) and then you can use your Deutschlandticket for the German REs.
The Deutschlandticket only works for trips through Deutsche Bahn train stations, not in France. (And there are a handful of train stations abroad that count as Deutsche Bahn train stations, the only one in France is Wissembourg but that would be quite far from you.)
