  1. Good idea. They should implement this in North American public schools and also implement some basic rules around hair styles, makeup, etc. Some teens look so hideous these days…

  2. There’s not much evidence school uniforms help behavior. There’s a fair bit of evidence school uniforms piss off Muslims. Coincidence I’m sure.

  3. So we are giving up our freedom?

It’s ok a few guys are going to make banks…

  4. I hate school uniforms.

The state wants everyone to look the same and talk the same and think the same and ultimately, behave the same.

How we dress is an aspect of our personalities. The fact some do without doesn’t mean we take away from those who have. We correct the inequality causing those to be without.

    Uniforms are nonsense.

  5. As an english bloke who went to school with uniforms i can confirm that i experienced no bullying whatsoever and everyone was kind at all times and i didn’t find out violence or harassment even existed until i left school at 16 /s

  6. This only works if the uniforms are given school. If kids are wearing old hand me downs, they are going to get bullied for being poor regardless.

  7. Those uniforms make me think China, not a good look.

  8. Well in my country you wear uniforms in primary and secondary schools (ages 7 – 17), and I’m sad to say that bullying still happens. And the rich kids show off their wealth via other things, e.g., going/coming to school by car instead of bus, having the hand-cranked pencil sharpener instead of the “traditional” ones, etc.

  9. Damn what an ugly uniform. The only “benefit” school uniforms have given anyone is the money it has given to the companies that make them.

  10. Thats it guys, bullying is no more thanks to a failed solution form the last century

  11. They could try to reduce inequality to reduce inequality.

  12. Uniforms can be useful for curbing rebellious behavour, reducing bullying is debatable tho

  13. Really? Jeez…

Most people can’t afford top quality clothing, so who’s gonna feel lesser anyway?

How did this get to the news btw

  14. Jesus at least hire a good designer and make a cool uniform people will want to wear. This looks North Korean.

  15. Fuck uniforms, unless ofcourse, if the school is sponsoring them

  16. Had uniforms at my school. Bullying was 10x my best friends school easily. His had no uniforms

  17. Try /r/homeschooling instead

    Pajamas are the official uniform

    And no bullying!

  18. I’m not against uniforms but I have seen more comfortable ones before

  19. doesn’t work. you can still tell the difference between kids

  20. creating a zero-tolerance-policy for bullying and actually taking the problem seriously on all levels, supporting the victims ❌🥶😡

limiting self-expression possibilities for everyone just to cater to bullies implying that bullying is caused by other factors than just bullies wanting to bully ☑️😍🥰 that’s why there is/was no bullying in the uk, japan and soviet union /s

maybe at least they shouldn’t be hypocritical and try to justify it with something absolutely unrelated to the problem? but then, virtually all problems are solved most effectively by other measures. yay, let’s force students to do more useless things.

  21. How dystopian. “If we’re all exactly the same, society will be better.” Yikes.

  22. See, there’s a totalitarian solution to every hyped problem!

  23. Ugh really? Uniforms? Fuck uniforms. A civilised society doesn’t need school uniforms.

  24. I think it’s a good idea for school children. Bullying will always exist especially at that crucial 9-15 year old age. It won’t be perfect but if it can make kids focus on everything related to learning, instead of “flexing” and status, it’s a win.

  25. In my country schools, regardless if private or public, students are made to wear uniforms. I have been to 2 very different schools, guess what?, it didn’t do jack shit to stop bullying in either of those. Shocking!

  26. I mean in my Catholic school there was lots of bullying but hey no one insulted your clothes. And In hindsight not having to focus on what to wear every day was a good send.

    Good on France tbh.

  27. Yeah because uniforms do wanders when it comes to bullying… just ask Japan and South Kor—- wait a minute!!!!
