When Scottish Greens entered government we said we’d bring legislation to implement a comprehensive ban on conversion practices.
Today the Scottish Government took the first step towards that goal – a vital step for LGBTQIA+ equality and dignity

I just hope this doesnt have to sit in 6 years of public consultation, pass through the Scottish Gov with cross party support only for Westminster to section 35 it.
Only took them 2 years to take the 1st step…
I hope they will proceed very carefully on this, in such a way as not to criminalise traditional Christian teaching or prayer ministry for those who experience unwanted same-sex attraction.
I’m ngl I am so sick of hearing about the Scottish Green Party. A party that achieved a whopping 8% of the vote share
It would be nice if the Greens could actually support green energy, instead of [turning into NIMBYs](https://www.energyvoice.com/renewables-energy-transition/183660/aberdeen-greens-join-battle-against-glendye-windfarm-plans/) and opposing any green-energy development in their area.
Why has it taken so long? Are certain parts of the SNP determined to delay and avoid this for as long as possible?
This should have been done and dusted 2 years ago.
