I’d go Evri, royal mail is a nightmare
Royal Mail have gone downhill, I no longer feel reassured when I see it’s them delivering. And god forbid if they cant deliver and take the parcel to be held hostage at the sorting office with daft opening hours.
I pray for DPD now when I’m ordering something
Of the two, I’d go Evri.
They’re both useless, but the Evri drop-off is slightly closer to my house.
Right now I would take Evri. At least if it can’t be delivered I can get it delivered to a store nearby. With Royal Mail I will wait a week only for a failed delivery which I would arrange redelivery for on the Saturday only for that to not happen and then have to wait as it is held at the sorting office that only opens for 4 hours a day during working hours and 2 hours on a Saturday morning.
Id do RM all day.
They’ve always been reliable for me here (London) – however its gamble with Evri. Its gamble of wether they turn up at all, get left dumped in a stupid place, or claim its delivered when its not – and on the rare occasion mysteriously appear if its not been stolen.
Ive had some terrible delays with RM, but… they do turn up, and are reliably tracked.
It will never arrive.
Do you want to pay £4.95 for a “we missed you” card while you sit in your upstairs office overlooking the front garden with the light on?
Or pay £4.95 to have it left on your doorstep for all to see / left in your wheelie bin on bin day / failed throw through a 1st story window and stuck on the roof?

Royal mail are absolutely awful now. Never thought I’d say it but in the last year or two ive seen a massive decline in their services.
DPD is my new friend now.
I’d choose Royal Mail for what it’s worth
These delivery methods don’t really make sense, one should be standard (RM) and the other a more expensive, tracked delivery.
Evri’s service is dependent on who your local driver is, mines pretty good and had no problems. Royal mail on the other hand is just shit
I extremely rarely have problems with royal mail. Idk why people seem to negative here

Evri didn’t deliver my mams Xmas present over Xmas, I asked where it is and never received a answer. Cunts
It’s doesn’t help that Royal Mail mostly employ new employees on 30hr contracts and just above minimum wage and want you to work Saturday and Sunday, whereas established staff have the good routes, best hours and better money. I was considering being a postie but need full time. No wonder they can’t retain new staff

If something goes wrong, they’ll sort it out fairly quickly.
If something goes wrong with royal mail, prepare for a 60-90 day wait, 15 odd emails and 2-3 hours of phone calls.
Royal mail collected my parcel with bring my label, and he said he’d ‘put it on in the van’. And went back and put some random small letter label on it and a 25kg on a letter.
I had to track the person through their Etsy store logo and rearrange forward posting and wait 3 months for the postage refund in the form of a cheque.
Royal mail lost two more parcels before the cheque came through.

Even the EVRi logo is all over the fucking place, just like your package – EVRi-where except your actual address
As much as everyone likes to shit on Hermes I’ve had mostly positive experience with them, the only negative being customer service or lack there of. Our local evri driver is friendly and efficient and thats honestly all you can ask from underpaid and overworked courier.
RM on the other hand have managed to cock up almost every single fucking delivery in the last 3 years.
EVRI – lobbed over the fence.
RM – at least you can pick up from the local post office.
Honestly I’ve had no issues with Evri and my driver is lovely. I make a point of giving him a five-star rating on each delivery because I know companies like that are a nightmare to work for and people’s jobs depend on subjective metrics like that.
They’re both as shit as each other so roll the dice and chill, the parcel isn’t arriving in the same state as when it was sent!
