Yes, it’s definitely true that that has been reported.
Yeah,we dropped out a couple of weeks ago.
Chelsea already set a calendar reminder to place a bid
Ornstein reporting it and I pretty much take his word as gospel regarding transfers in England
It has been expected for some time now. Once we started getting linked to Echeverri it was reported we were out for Barco (not necessarily related though).
I hope so, we are better signing players from river plate than from boca
I mean we did **just** get Gvardiol…
It’s not like he would have played for us anyways
Sam Lee reported this a week ago in a column in The Athletic, writing, “City have distanced themselves from a move for Boca Juniors left-back Valentin Barco, 19. They will bring in 17-year-old Echeverri from River Plate but he will be loaned back to River and is not expected to make an impact at the Etihad Stadium for some time yet.”
He says that City retains an interest in Lucas Paqueta, depending on the outcome of the betting investigation, and Florian Wirtz at Bayer Leverkusen, but sees a January move for either as off limits.
He also wrote that City sticks to its internal valuations and drops out if a selling club want a substantially higher fee than City’s valuation of a transfer target. City was interested in buying Eze last summer but walked away because Palace’s asking price was way higher than City’s valuation.
Frankly good for them. They need players with so many injuries and he willl play for them far more
It’s okay we don’t have to buy all South American wonder kids
Reece James coming soon
Unfortunately yes. Only interested in CBs.
yes he’s leaving to Brighton. Even though it would’ve been great to see him shine with man city, he wouldve had a hard time finding a spot amongst so many stars.
Chelsea queuing up their 80 million dollar bid for 3 years from now
Brighton don’t ‘beat’ City to anything.
If he’s gone there City won’t have been in for him in the first place or dropped out due to being apart in valuation which isn’t ‘beating’.
