  1. “whoopsies, we just parroted Hamas propaganda without actually verifying it for the hundredth time. Won’t happen again we swear”

  2. why am I not surprised that once again the BBC runs a story painting Israel in a bad light.

A story they had not sufficiently verified.

  3. Can it get more embarrassing for the BBC at this point? Can they just quit reporting in the middle east please? They’re not getting anything right! They tried it, didn’t work.. give it up..

  4. Israel is doing exactly what any other country would do if their innocent citizens were raped and murdered with a promise from Hamas leadership that they will do it again. Are they supposed to wait for that?

  5. Joke of a network with abundantly clear bias at this point

  6. Remember when the IDF said they’re bringing medical persons and Arab speakers to the hospital, and the BBC said that they’re targeting medical personal and Arab speakers?

  7. lmaooooo of course. the damage is done, no one checks corrections or apologies. Good job running with the twitter and tiktok crowd, BBC.

  8. How many more times is BBC going to have to apologize for reporting bullshit???

  9. Honest mistake! I mean, if you can’t trust the human-shield-using, international-aid-stealing, religious fundamentalist terrorist organization dedicated to destroying Israel to be honest about Israel, who CAN you trust?

  10. It’s mind-blowing how easily duped BBC is by Hamas. Over and over. And over again.

    Even the NYT’s suckered.

What is it with this war that is frying their editors’ brains?

  11. It’s been pretty clear that BBC sides with terrorism because this isn’t the first, second, third, etc. time that they push out propaganda for the terrorists. They should be investigated.

  12. How can the BBC, which is already under so much scrutiny for making mistakes like these, continue to make even more mistakes?

  13. So are all those fanatical Redditors going “you don’t trust BBC anymore either??” are going to chill the fuck out and wait for a verification on information, right? Right??

There are so many emotionally driven Redditors. It has been a hassle to convince Hamas supporters that yes, some widely trusted news agencies just showed their cards during this war and are willing to lie to create turmoil.

  14. This is that fake hospital story all over again.

  15. Apologies not accepted. This isn’t even first time. Damage is already done and this will repair nothing. BBC lost A LOT of credibility and imo there wasn’t much left to begin with.

  16. Remember when the bbc commissioned a report into antisemitism in the organisation and then never released its conclusions, pepperidge farm remembers

  17. I guess Britney Spears work at the BBC because all I hear from them is “oops I did it again”

  18. I think it might be time to not take a word Hamas says to hold anything that resembles any truth. Maybe we need to publish their announcements as “the exact opposite of whatever the heck bs they are trying to spew out into the world”

  19. See you in three days for the next bullshit piece you post siding with terrorists BBC.

  20. BBC has somehow turned into the biggest Hamas supporter and propagator of propaganda than Hamas themselves.

  21. BBC parroting ideologically safe propaganda for the millionth time, oopsie!

  22. Oh i see how it works, first you report outrageous unsubstantiated blatant fucking lie, get the clicks and outrage rolling, and then you make a little apology “oopsie doopsie we fuckedupsie” *when everyone and their dog can prove that the rocket belonged to the islamic jihad.*

***And then you repeat the tactic a few months later.***

  23. Can they not just say, “Hamas claims [this]” then they don’t have to get their asses blasted every time they talk about this war.

  24. BBC has been involved in various fake news scandals lately. In my opinion when a news organisation has been involved in at least 3 proven fake news scandals, the government should fine them. The first and second times are accidents. With a third time it becomes a pattern.

  25. This is why trust in the media is dying.

The BBC needs to also fire the person that ran with this, publicly. That would be a warning to all BBC employees to not release lies.

  26. I’m tired of all this “report then apologize” crap. This is BBC, not a high school newspaper. There are consequences.

  27. Can’t believe it runs on the British people’s dime.

Looks like they make up their mind about something and then start collecting news supporting their assumption.

  28. Maybe BBC should reduce their reporting on this topic or something. They’re egregiously misquoting and posting fake news.

  29. “We are sorry we got caught, it will probably happen again though.”

  30. We are required to buy a tv licence in the UK and some of the money from that goes to funding this garbage. Its an absolute joke.

  31. BBC should make a futuristic, cover-all statement

“BBC will continue making assumptions showing Israel/IDF in a bad light. If proven incorrect, please treat this message as an apology.
If not proven incorrect, well our propaganda worked, didn’t it?”

  32. Front page in 40 point font “IDF executes civilians!!!”

Buried on web site in 2 point font “IDF killed less civilians than reported.”

  33. We don’t forgive you. Too little too late. With the harm you’ve done in this conflict, BBC, you ought to pay restitution for the antisemitic violence they helped provoke

  34. Does anybody take the BBC seriously anymore though?

  35. How many people saw the headline, confirmed the opinion, and never saw this apology. It’s not enough
